School Holiday fun...

So far these holidays we have managed to keep the kids relatively busy. As you can see from a few of the pics we have taken the kids up to healesville to go on the railway they have out there. We also took the kids bowling. Arron won followed by Erin, Darcy and I lost severely!! I tell you I SUCK at those kid of sports... We joined my sister and her fiance at rosebud for the day and the kids played at the beach and had a good time. We have had picnics at Silvan Dam and Darcy and I also headed to the movies and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. Kids went with my sister and saw the Water Horse last week. We have headed out to do some yabbying... got nothing. And basically just dodged the hot weather. Darcy and Arron are off to the Hot Rod show in Melb tomorrow and the rest of us are off to visit a friend and her new little baby girl over woop woop Sunbury.. And that about does the school hols!! Kinder for Darcy starts Wednesday at 8.45am and Erin of course starts Grade 1 too that day. So with some careful planning we should be able to get them both off without a hitch! Yey to routine coming back!

Thought I should at least share our christmas! Although it seems so long ago now! it was such a mad time. We also had Erin finish up prep at school and turn 6 too. She did not have a party this year instead got a Nintendo DS and games and took 2 friends from school to the movies to see Bee Movie.

The kids were so excited about christmas. They all woke at 6.45am and wasted no time in seeing what Santa had bought them. The kids were very spoilt with new couches each for the lounge, cars, trucks, girly things etc... Then we headed over to my mums place to do pressies with my 2 sisters, nearly brother-in-law, mum, stepdad and mardi's mum. The boys got a seriously cool ride on jeep to hoon around mums back yard in and they LOVED it!!! Erin got a jumping castle and more stuff than you can poke a stick at! But the big hit so far has been good ol pack of UNO cards!! We have had to play many a game every day. We of course all ate and ate and ate then packed the car to head back home again for hot dinner with Arrons mum and dad and my dad and sister. Kids got more pressies and then all ended up heading to bed after a long day.

So christmas was great! I went on a boxing day christmas shopping spree and got some nice bits and peices... new clothes, handbag, thongs, earings, cd's.. you know! all the stuff you never get during the year!

And then to wrap the year up on new years eve we just battled through the heat of the day at home then headed to my auntys place to swim for a few hours and play my cousins wii then home by 10.30 to crank the air con again!! LOL

and now its 2008!! This year see's darcy starting 3 year old kinder and Erin going into grade 1. It will be the same ol thing for Arron and I working and maybe even plan a holiday of some kind at the end of the year somewhere interesting... somewhere besides qld LOL!
